Either you are a Youth Worker or anyone interested in forests and environmental sustainability, you can find a place you like and implement one of our activities, or simply visit and relax. Enjoy! GREECE

Diomedes Botanical Garden
For the specific area/map:
Meditation, activities from the Forest Youth Methodology, active games,exploration, educational visit in groups.
Metro stop Agia Marina (blue line, direction Dimotiko Theatro). From there you can get on bus 876 (Agia Marina-Elefsina) and get off after 11 stops, at “Diomideios”.
A free ticket must be booked in advance. Visitors can be in groups of 10 people at maximum. Website: https://diomedes-bg.gr/ . The “Botanical Garden of Iulia and Alexandrou N. Diomidos” has been a PRIVATE SPACE (NPID) since its foundation (1961). The Botanic Garden’s primary purpose is environmental education and research and does not offer park services.

National Garden
Suitable for small groups, activities from the 6th Forest Youth Methodology Module, educational activities about different plant species
2 minutes by walking from the Metro Station “Syntagma” (blue and red lines), in the heart of Athens.
Short description: The National Garden is open to the public daily from sunrise to sunset and visitors can access them through its entrances. Disabled access is possible from the entrances of the Garden (except the Vas. Sophias and Jean Morea entrances), while the traffic inside the Garden is comfortable and pleasant. In emergency situations or for security reasons or for any other reason, the opening hours are modified. In this case, relevant announcements are posted at the entrances to inform visitors or on social media.

ITALY

Parco del Respiro
For the specific area/map:
The map describes two itineraries suggested for the forest bathing activities, including tree-hugging locations.
It is located in Fai della Paganella in Trentino Alto Adige. To reach it, from the city center you should follow the indication for the parking of “Bus dele Anguane”.It is situated close to the Paganella Ski & Bike Area, few kilometeers from Andalo and Molveno villages
It is a free entry park in Trentino Alto Adige Region, the Parco del Respiro di Fai della Paganella. It offers a series of experiences with specialised experts in various disciplines: Forest Bathing, yoga, meditation, group or individual experiences.In the News & events page https://www.parcodelrespiro.it/news-eventi/ the dates of the “Forest Bathing Days” from May to October and of all the organized activities are reported.
Criteria:
- a place where you can connect to nature (forest, park, mountain, anything that works for you – an open space with trees and fresh air is fine)
- easy to reach for youth – accessible by some kind of public transport
- safe
- not overly noisy
- there are plenty of experts that organises different activities on the top of forest bathing, individual and group activities
- It is possible to visit it in all seasons
Oasi Zegna

The map describes the two itineraries suggested for the forest bathing activities.
From the station Biella San Paolo, you should reach Località Bocchetto Sessera where to start the Forest Bathing experience.
LITHUANIA
Pavilniai Regional Park

It is in Vilnius. In order to get to Pavilniai Regional Park, take a bus No. 74 from Žaliasis tiltas station. When driving from the city centre along Zarasų or Olandų Streets, turn right near the roundabout towards Belmontas, and follow the road to the end. If you want to go to the Pūčkorių Exposure, drive a little further along S. Batoro Street

The valley of the Vilnia River is the heart of the Pavilniai Regional Park. The Pūčkoriai Exposure is a unique geological monument. You can also visit the location of the former water mill nearby where the Belmontas restaurant and entertainment centre are now situated, and the Belmontas waterfalls flow nearby.
Stalo (Table) hill

It is in the Vilnius city center, so The Table Mountain can be visited from the side of T. Kosciuškos Street; from here, after climbing up the hill, one enters the bandstand. In the summer, various concerts and festivals are held there. You can also climb the hill directly from Olandų Street; the path is located between the Kriviu stop and the War Museum.
Table Mountain is a Cultural Reserve of Vilnius Castles area, Mountain Park. Table Mountain got its name because of its shape – the top is as flat as a table. This is a separate, steep hill. Location suitable for active recreation, the western side of the mountain offers a panoramic view of Vilnius.
Pasakų (Fairytale) garden

From Pamėnkalnis stop in the centre of Vilnius, take trolleybuses 1 or 3 to the Pasakų parkas stop on Loretos Asanavičiūtė street

When designing residential areas, green spaces were consciously left between them. One such green space is located between Karoliniškės and Lazdynai – the Pasakų (Fairy Tale) Park, designed by the landscape architect Romualdas Jurgilis and opened in 1987. Wooden sculptures with motifs from fairy tales and Lithuanian mythology decorate the paths winding through the pine forest. It is a good place for a walk, a workout, or a picnic while enjoying the fresh air. Don’t be surprised if you see a squirrel or a rare bird. Since 2019, the park has been home to an artistic and educational installation, where colourful illustrations of famous urban legends and stories are projected onto the ground from projectors at the top of the trees, and information boards nearby give you a closer look at the city’s most famous legends.
Kaunas, Panemunė Pinewood (Panemunės šilas)

From “Griunvaldo g” bus stop, you can reach Panemunės Šilas by bus number 47, the journey takes about 30 minutes.
Panemunė pinewood surrounded by the Nemunas loop is created in a natural forest. It is one of the most picturesque places of Kaunas nature. Since 1926 the resort became popular among the residents of Kaunas, and the flow of vacationers was constantly increasing. In 1928 the pinewood was named after dr. Jonas Basanavičius. Already at that time, new avenues were being designed alongside the old park paths and tracks. During the summer, Kaunas narrow-gauge transported people to this pinewood. During the interwar period Panemunė was recognized as a resort, it had sanatoriums and wooden villas of wealthy Kaunas residents. Now – this pinewood is a great place for nature recreation, which allows to enjoy the fresh air, admire the natural heritage – the friendship of oaks and pines, and actively spend leisure time.
Kaunas, Kleboniškis Forest Park

From “Nacionalinis Kauno dramos teatras” bus stop you could take bus number 47, the journey takes about 40 minutes.
Although park is located close to the city, it has the characteristics of wild nature park. The second biggest lithuanian river Neris surrounds the West and the North of the park.
SPAIN
Península de la Magdalena - Santander
These 28 hectareas of woodlands and gardens is a popular recreational destination for both tourists and locals. The grounds are extensive, although sticking to just the walking path is around 2 hours. Probably the best place to see in Santander. The park also contains several statues honoring natives of Santander and Cantabria.
The venue is suitable for any kind of group, making it an ideal location for a city forest bath. Participants can immerse themselves in the serene surroundings, enjoying the picturesque scenery as a means to forget about stress. This space is designed to facilitate an enhancement of overall well-being and health, addressing both physical and mental aspects. Moreover, it provides an opportunity for social connection within the group. Ultimately, engaging in activities here serves as a means to reconnect with nature, fostering a sense of tranquility and rejuvenation.
40 minutes walk from the city centre of Santander, 10 minutes by bike.
Centro de Interpretación del Bosque y Arboreto de Liendo
22 minutes walk from the city of Liendo, 6 minutes by bike.
The Arboretum of Liendo is a small botanical garden consisting of species from different continents, open to the public and located in the neighborhood of Mollaneda in Liendo. It is the property of the illustrious city council of this municipality. The Arboretum features a Forest Interpretation Center in the hermitage of San Roque (16th century), serving as the starting point for numerous environmental education activities conducted by the Cultural Association Bosques de Cantabria in collaboration with the city council.
Educational visit, an interpretative itinerary is conducted, identifying the most prominent species with comments on their origin, characteristics, traditional uses, and interesting facts. Within the same premises stands the hermitage of San Roque (16th century), a former pilgrims’ hospital that currently houses the Forest Interpretation Center. This center features an exhibition with panels explaining various aspects of forests, and the visit will also be guided by specialized guides from the Cultural Association Bosques de Cantabria.Guided tours will take place in small groups, so it is recommended to reserve a spot in advance through a phone call.
BULGARIA
Blue Stones, Sliven
Blue stones is one of the most beautiful, most romantic parts of the Eastern Stara Planina mountain (Balkan). Each vale each rock here has different and scenic view, countless waterfalls brokes the silence of the valley. Hundreds of pools are covered by hazelnutand and walnut trees. Passengers are amazed at every turn by the wonderful paintings that nature composes so skillfully. The terrain is diverse and distinctive, highly segmented. In the national park you can have a walk, do forest bathing, calm yourself and get closer to nature.

Sliven
You can reach the national park by car from Sliven ( 30 minutes drive ). You can use the lift ( 25 minutes ). There are numerous trails leading to the park, thaking hour and a half to 2 hours.
